Afrikana Star City: A Bold New Chapter for Birmingham Dining

On 21st August 2025, Afrikana proudly opened its doors at Star City, Birmingham, a massive new opening and a bold move for the brand. This launch marks not just a new location, but a new look, new feel, and a renewed commitment to serving up the best peri peri chicken in town.

From our first restaurant in Aldridge to our latest at Birmingham’s premier entertainment complex, and just last week with our exciting Afrikana Hounslow opening, the journey has always been about more than food. It’s about flavour, culture, and community.

A Launch to Remember

The grand opening was a celebration filled with excitement, laughter, and bold aromas of flame-grilled dishes. Families, movie-goers, and foodies all came together to be part of the first chapter of Afrikana’s Star City story.

Adding to the buzz, TikTok star Avinash (@1avinaas) joined the festivities, helping to spread the word across Birmingham and beyond. The energy on launch day reflected what Afrikana is all about: food, culture, and moments that bring people together, much like our recent BoohooMAN x Afrikana collaboration.
